Students from the Escuela Ciudadana put their knowledge into practice through health monitoring

On September 22, 2026, at the extended-hours health center in San Juan La Laguna, Sololá, students from the third cohort of the Citizen School for the Right to Health, accompanied by women's rights advocates from the REDC-HEALTH and the technical staff of the CEGSS, they organized a community watch event.

The activity provided an opportunity to put the knowledge gained during the training process into practice and to learn how the service operates from the perspective of both staff and users.

During the session, limitations related to the service organization, staff availability, medication supply, and openness to public participation.

This exercise aims to generate information that will help foster dialogue with the authorities and contribute to the development of measures to improve care for quality, warmth, and relevance, taking into account the experiences and perceptions of the user population.
