On August 25, 2026, in Huehuetenango, REDC-SALUD and CEGSS participated in the regional workshop on the 7th National Open Government Action Plan 2026–2027, where topics such as transparency, citizen participation, accountability, and social auditing were discussed.

During the event, community concerns were raised regarding public institutions’ response to their demands, and the importance of citizen participation that fosters concrete results and verifiable commitments.

As a result, Open Government committed to following up on the issues raised and coordinating actions related to REDC-SALUD’s demands, while strengthening opportunities for dialogue and citizen participation.
