On August 12, 2026, CEGSS and REDC-SALUD met with officials from the “Dr. Jorge Vides Molina” Regional Hospital in Huehuetenango to follow up on the citizen monitoring conducted in August 2025 and to learn about progress made on the proposals put forward by the advocates.

As a result, hospital authorities agreed to submit, within one month, a written report in response to the findings. It was also agreed to strengthen communication and coordination between the hospital and REDC-SALUD to follow up on these commitments.
