On October 29, 2026, at the municipal building in Santa María Chiquimula, Totonicapán, REDC-SALUD and CEGSS, together with the mayor and community leaders, participated in the opening of the Municipal Health Office, a space dedicated to monitoring and addressing the population's primary health needs.

This office will handle and forward complaints related to the services provided by health clinics, the Permanent Care Center (CAP), and convergence centers, as well as monitor medication supply needs.

Its opening represents a step forward in citizen participation and coordination between communities and municipal authorities to address the needs of the population.

This new initiative aims to strengthen the monitoring of institutional commitments, promote improvements in public services, and help ensure the right to dignified, high-quality health care for the communities of Santa María Chiquimula.
