{"id":5056,"date":"2026-11-05T14:12:42","date_gmt":"2026-11-05T20:12:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cegss.org.gt\/?p=5056"},"modified":"2026-11-05T14:12:44","modified_gmt":"2026-11-05T20:12:44","slug":"el-paraiso-fortalece-su-organizacion-comunitaria-y-da-seguimiento-a-la-gestion-de-energia-electrica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cegss.org.gt\/en\/2026\/11\/05\/el-paraiso-fortalece-su-organizacion-comunitaria-y-da-seguimiento-a-la-gestion-de-energia-electrica\/","title":{"rendered":"El Para\u00edso Strengthens Its Community Organization and Monitors Electricity Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On October 28, 2026, in the community of El Para\u00edso, Uspant\u00e1n, Quich\u00e9, a meeting was held with community leaders to present and review the <strong>community assessment and risk map<\/strong>, tools that provide insight into the characteristics of the community and strengthen its capacity for emergency prevention and response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the workshop, the process of drafting these documents was explained in context, and information was reviewed regarding the community\u2019s history, infrastructure, economy, vulnerabilities, history of weather events, and capacity to respond to emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, updates were shared on the progress of efforts with INDE to gain access to electricity through solar panels. It was explained that the community is located in the <strong>Second phase of the process: pre-investment<\/strong>, which consists of four stages: planning, pre-investment, contracting, and implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the meeting, community leaders were encouraged to continue monitoring this initiative and to build on the progress made to promote access to electricity for the benefit of families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These spaces strengthen community organization and participation by providing tools to identify needs, manage solutions, and promote better living conditions for the population.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El 28 de octubre de 2026, en la comunidad El Para\u00edso, Uspant\u00e1n, Quich\u00e9, se realiz\u00f3 una reuni\u00f3n con l\u00edderes comunitarios para entregar y revisar el diagn\u00f3stico comunitario y el mapa de riesgo, herramientas que permiten conocer las caracter\u00edsticas de la localidad y fortalecer su capacidad de prevenci\u00f3n y respuesta ante emergencias. Durante la jornada se contextualiz\u00f3 el proceso de elaboraci\u00f3n de estos documentos y se revis\u00f3 informaci\u00f3n sobre la historia de la comunidad, infraestructura, econom\u00eda, condiciones de vulnerabilidad, antecedentes de eventos clim\u00e1ticos y capacidad de respuesta ante situaciones de emergencia. Asimismo, se compartieron los avances de las gestiones ante el INDE para acceder a energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica mediante paneles solares. Se explic\u00f3 que la comunidad se encuentra en la segunda fase del proceso: preinversi\u00f3n, que comprende cuatro etapas: planificaci\u00f3n, preinversi\u00f3n, contrataci\u00f3n y ejecuci\u00f3n. Como parte del encuentro, se motiv\u00f3 a los l\u00edderes comunitarios a mantener el seguimiento de esta gesti\u00f3n y aprovechar los avances alcanzados para impulsar el acceso a energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica en beneficio de las familias.
