Within the framework of the Citizen School for the Right to Health, the first virtual meeting of the training and accompaniment process in \u201cCommunity Advocacy\u201d was held with the youth of B'ok'o, Chimaltenango. This event brought together youth leaders from different towns in the department of Chimaltenango, as well as the CEGSS team, in order to bring young community leaders closer to the defense and promotion of human rights.<\/span><\/p>

Young leaders from the municipalities of Chi Xot, San Juan Comalapa, San Mart\u00edn Jilotepeque, Patzic\u00eda and Chimaltenango participated, who gathered with the objective of promoting critical thinking, recognition of the rights of indigenous peoples and community accompaniment. This effort is part of REDC-SALUD's strategy to expand its community work to other territories in the country.<\/span><\/p>

The training and accompaniment process is designed to strengthen the recognition of youth as bearers of ancestral knowledge and knowledgeable about their rights, history and environment. In addition, it seeks to develop their skills to accompany their communities and to exercise and defend their rights in conjunction with the REDC-SALUD.<\/span><\/p>

This meeting marks the beginning of a space for continuous training that will allow young people to strengthen their leadership and actively contribute to the construction of a more just and equitable society, respectful of human rights and the ancestral knowledge of indigenous peoples.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

En el marco de la Escuela Ciudadana por el Derecho a la Salud, se llev\u00f3 a cabo el primer encuentro virtual del proceso de formaci\u00f3n y acompa\u00f1amiento en \u201cAbogac\u00eda Comunitaria\u201d con la juventud de B\u2019ok\u2019o, Chimaltenango. Este evento reuni\u00f3 a liderazgos juveniles de diferentes pueblos del departamento de Chimaltenango, as\u00ed como a equipo del CEGSS, con la finalidad de acercar a los j\u00f3venes l\u00edderes de las comunidades a la defensa y promoci\u00f3n de los derechos humanos. Participaron j\u00f3venes l\u00edderes de los municipios de Chi Xot, San Juan Comalapa, San Mart\u00edn Jilotepeque, Patzic\u00eda y Chimaltenango, quienes se congregaron con el objetivo de fomentar el pensamiento cr\u00edtico, el reconocimiento de los derechos de los pueblos ind\u00edgenas y el acompa\u00f1amiento comunitario. Este esfuerzo es parte de la estrategia de la REDC-SALUD para expandir su trabajo comunitario a otros territorios del pa\u00eds. El proceso de formaci\u00f3n y acompa\u00f1amiento est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para fortalecer a la juventud en el reconocimiento como sujetos portadores de conocimientos ancestrales y como conocedores de sus derechos, historia y entorno. Adem\u00e1s, se busca desarrollar sus habilidades para el acompa\u00f1amiento de sus comunidades y para ejercer y defender sus derechos en conjunto con la REDC-SALUD.
