(PAR), which consists of:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Systematize local experience and organize collective analysis;\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Linking analysis with reflection and action, organizing experiences, perceptions and facts to generate new learning and knowledge;\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To turn people from excluded communities into researchers and agents of change.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through our research and technical training at CEGSS, we are able to have an impact in the following areas:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Democratization of knowledge,\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strengthening democratic governance of the health system,\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promoting transparency and\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accountability of state institutions and promotion of citizen participation.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At CEGSS, research and the publication of findings are only components of a broader process that includes:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The transfer of knowledge generated by research to the population groups directly affected by the problems under investigation.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The implementation of capacity-building processes for community organizations to use evidence\/knowledge in their social mobilization processes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The implementation of strategic advocacy processes.
