The Human Rights Law Firm (BDH) and the Center for Equity and Governance Studies in Health Systems (CEGSS) sign an inter-institutional cooperation agreement.

Both institutions agree that the unfavorable health situation of indigenous peoples is the result of systematic processes of racism and discrimination by the Guatemalan State towards these populations. Therefore, its resolution requires a structural and systemic approach. Through this cooperation, training, advice and joint strategic actions will be shared to promote structural reforms. The joint action of both institutions seeks to contribute to the full enjoyment of the right to health by indigenous communities and other marginalized populations and to strengthen democracy in the country.
