Unlike other academic research organizations, CEGSS does not limit itself to publishing its research findings in scientific journals. For us, research and publication of findings are only one part of a comprehensive process that includes:
a) the transfer of knowledge generated by the research to the population groups that are directly affected by the research problems
b) the implementation of capacity building processes for community organizations so that they can use the evidence/knowledge generated in their own social mobilization processes; and c) the implementation of a series of training and capacity building activities for community organizations.
c) the implementation of strategic advocacy processes.
In addition to this, all of the topics CEGSS researches arise from the interest and demand of the community organizations with which CEGSS collaborates.
